LGS Sport Camp is a sports themed camp for children aged 7 to 13 from at risk families. It is an entirely free initiative, dedicated to our most vulnerable citizens, which allows participants to enjoy the cultural, physical and psychological benefits linked to sports activities and families to take advantage of a useful service during school closure.
The first edition of the Camp will be from 27 August to 7 September at Polisportiva Pallavicini sports centre in Bologna and will involve approximately 100 children each week, for a total of around 200 participants. Kids will be able to participate in different sports activities like football, rugby, basketball, volleyball, fencing and tennis. They will have the chance to meet professional athletes, who will share their stories and participate in various workshops and study groups.
This initiative aims to create fun for participants and foster inclusion, in order to teach kids about the values in sports, support local families and create a sense of community.
The project was created and realised by LGS SportLab, a sports management, marketing and communications agency, with a particular interest in creating events and initiatives connected to social activities and inclusion.
